Responsabilities
- Set up and operate manual machines, plastic machines (extrusion, foaming, injection, thermofroming) and CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders).
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools.
- Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control teams to resolve production issues.
Mandatory skills
- High school diploma or technical certificate in machining or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience as a machinist
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Knowledge of machining techniques, materials, and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have skills
- Experience with CNC programming (e.g., G-code, CAM software).
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
- Forklift or crane operation certification is a plus.
